The Kern family, the board of directors and the management have jointly decided to discontinue the operation of the Hotel Gasthof Kreuz for economic reasons as of October 31, 2023.

Various reasons have led to this unavoidable step: On the one hand, it became increasingly difficult to find enough qualified employees, on the other hand, significant investments in the property and infrastructure are pending, which in combination with rising costs for personnel, material and energy make an economic operation impossible. In addition, the operation of a hospitality business is not in line with the activities and corporate objectives of the Mechanical Engineering Company Kern AG as owner of the Hotel Restaurant Kreuz.

If you have reserved an event or a room at the Hotel Gasthof Kreuz after October 31, 2023, the team will contact you in the next few days and look for solutions. Vouchers can still be redeemed until the end of October 2023.

We thank you for your many years of loyalty and hope for your understanding for this decision, which was very difficult for us.
